New Online Portfolio
Today I made a online portfolio with deviantART. I would really like to have a website up and runnning but lack the money to get it created. I figured making a portfolio on deviantART would be the best way to go since they came up with the portfolio feature. Hopefully this will help me out while I'm on the job hunt.

Nikon Debuts D3s
Yesterday Nikon debut the new D3s. The megapixels have stayed the same from the D3 at 12mp. It has 720 dpi HD video at 24 fps. There is also a new ISO Sensitivity of 12800 with a record breaking top ISO of 102,400, which I think is incredible. Of course there are people that are complaining about it not being 1080 dpi at 30 fps but i think is good considering Nikon's video experience compared to Canon or Sony.
Here's the first two video released.

The Latest
I haven't posted in awhile. I've kinda neglected this blog and my camera lately. Last month I finished the Gwinnett Technical College Photography Program. August 12th, I had a portfolio show at ART Station in Stone Mountain, Ga with my fellow photography students. I really had a blast getting to discuss and share my work with people. The work will be up until the end of this month, so go check it out if you haven't already.

Chick-fil-A Kick-Off Game
Two weeks ago I went to help Paul Abell shoot the Chick-fil-A Kick Off Game Alabama vs Virginia Tech. I spent all day shooting all of the events leading up to the game. It was quite the experience I figured it would be. Being down on the field, you could feel the energy of the crowd. Here are a few shots I got during the game.

Aaron In Iraq
So one of my best friends Aaron Raley that I've know since middle school joined the marines last year. I'm really proud of him and for the choice that he made to serve our country. He just got shipped off to Iraq two weeks ago. He's a Motor Transport Operator which operates and drives personnel and cargo throughout Iraq. He started a blog just a few days ago, which I think is great. Check it out and show him some love and support. My Life In Iraq
Here's a shot I got of him during a Time Trial at the Georgia Cup in 2006. I'm sure he misses riding his bike.

Hurricane Bill Swell
This past weekend I went on a surf trip with the Atlanta Surf Posse to St Augustine, Fl to surf the swell from Hurricane Bill. I didn't spend as much time photographing that I wanted to but here are a few shots.

For the past three weeks, I've been working on my portfolio section E "Specialized Study" which is industrial photography. My dad is an electrician for Georgia Power and he got me access to Electrical Plant Hammond is Rome, Ga. It was a great experience to photograph the plant and being around such large machinery. Here are a few samples of some shots I got.

Chevy Wedding

Today I helped fellow photographer photograph a wedding north of Cumming, Georgia. This is the second wedding I've shot. It was definitely easier having another photographer on hand, although I was still stressed out it definitely gave some relief.
The brides family runs a hot rod shop in Snellville, Ga and that gave them access to I believe a 1955 Chevy Bel Air. The Bride and Groom drove the Bel Air away after the Reception. Here's a sample of some shots we got today.

Low Key Redo
Today my advanced portraiture class had our critique of fashion, low/high key, and executive portraits. I want to redo my low key due to some exposure issues. I'll be making the print brighter and less contrasty.
